The Impact Of Competency-Based Education And Learning (CBE/L) Implementation On Technical Colleges Outcomes: Kuwait College For Technical Studies (CTS).
You are invited to participate in a research study which will mainly designed to establish whether CBE/L, as implemented at CTS, had a significant impact on students gaining competencies that will enable them to perform required job entry tasks once they join a workplace, and if the level of competency that CTS graduates reached during their college studies has made a significant difference in workplaces’ acceptance of those graduates of CBE/L compared with the graduates of traditional education approach. In addition, this research will explore whether the engagement of different employers , such as major industrial and government bodies, in the development of curriculums and competencies was significant in improving the quality of the programs.
I am a Doctoral program student at the University of the Pacific, Department of Education. this study is about the selection of the best practices in respect of education. You were selected as a possible participant in this study because your organization regularly employ graduates from the College of Technological Studies. If you decide to participate, you will be asked to answer the survey questions. There are no possible risk beyond those experienced in everyday life involved for participants. The benefit of this study is to enrich that Bank of Knowledge with a research that colleges can use as one of knowledge bases for their decision to implement Competency Based Education and learning or not.
